See the ring dips being performed on gymnastics rings. A must exercise for the triceps and also a good choice when trying to target the chest and shoulder muscles.
Performing the dips at full range of motion, and keeping the movement slow and controlled will maximise strength gains. As you progress and the ring dips become easier you can try a wide dip variation on the standard dip shown in the video. Wide dips are the same as the standard dips except the arms are moved out from the body to the sides.
In addition to this, as you become accustomed to your bodyweight you could also try using a weighted vest or a dipping belt to add additional weight to the exercise. |
